Where to buy new carpet and flooring after Art Van Furniture is no longer selling residential floor covering
I am sad to hear that Art Van Flooring will no longer be a part of the Art Van Furniture lineup. I have always been a huge fan of Art Van ever since I worked as a furniture salesman in their Lansing store back in 2000. I made a trip over to Tech- The 14 mile headquarter store located in Warren, Michigan, and met with Micky as well as some of their other top salespeople back then and became completely inspired and developed a deeper love for the company. My managers Jim DuMont and Bill Salsbury taught me a tremendous amount about the importance of excellent customer care while at the same time working towards earning the sale. Ever since my employment with Art Van almost two decades ago, I still practice many of the selling principles and customer service skills in the flooring business that I created, The Carpet Guys in Troy (also located on 14 Mile road).
Art Van is by far an absolute EXPERT when it comes to household furniture while at the same time delivering fantastic customer service at a value driven price. This is partially why I spent nearly $50,000 with them over the past two years furnishing my own home and office with their incredible furniture.
I also love Michigan based companies because I like to be supportive of our local Michigan economy and local Metro Detroit area workforce. It is unfortunate that Art Van didn't keep their partnership with Emil from World of Floors because I think that together, they would have been able to create a local gem of a local flooring company partnership within the Art van Furniture empire.
If Art Van Flooring customers are still looking to buy new carpeting or residential flooring, I believe I was told that they can still buy from the Scott Shuptrine Division of Art Van in Royal Oak MI, but I am not completely sure and was unable to verify.
